Funnels
See the path to a sale, without following anyone.
Let the AI propose funnels from your own pages and events, or build one by hand. Then see each step, the drop-off, and which sources finish, AI assistants included.
Example proposals for an invented shop. In the app they come from your own pages and events.
Manual setup
Or build it step by step.
Two to eight steps, in order. Pick what each step is, type the match, move steps up or down. Other pages in between are fine.
- Page path
- A pageview whose path matches. End with * to match everything below it.
/checkout/* - Custom event
- Any event you already send with the script, by name.
wt.track('add_to_cart') - Outbound click
- A click on a link to another site, tracked by the script automatically. Optionally match the host.

Tracking
Where people continue, and where they leave.
Visitors per step, conversion, the biggest drop, the period before, and which sources finish. AI assistants included.
Example data for an invented shop. The layout follows the Funnels page in the app.
How it’s counted
Cookieless, so it works a bit differently.
Wholetally has no cookies and no visitor ID. A funnel follows a visit only within one day.
- Daily-rotating hash
- The same salted hash we use for unique visitors. The salt is deleted after a day, and the hash is never stored with pageviews. Only per-day totals per step and channel are kept.
- Journeys across days
- A visit that comes back tomorrow starts again, so long funnels read lower than in cookie-based tools. That’s the price of not tracking people.
- Settings
- Needs the daily unique visitor hash switched on for the site. Not available in strict compliance mode. Changing steps restarts counting.
- AI proposals
- The model sees only totals (top pages and event names with counts), never single visits. It uses AI credits; tracking never does.
